The Las Vegas Frugal Screenwriter's Group is for writers who want to write scripts and turn them into short, no budget films in collaboration with other frugal filmmakers. Screenwriters are welcome to write their own scripts or collaborate with other frugal screenwriters. There is no experience necessary, just a passion to write scripts and turn them into films.

Frugal Screenwriters write scripts individually or in with other screenwriters with the intent to turn their scripts into short, frugal films in collaboration with other like-minded frugal filmmakers.

The Las Vegas Frugal Acting Group is for actors and actresses who want to act in frugal films and participate in live script readings with Frugal Screenwriters while building and improving their skills, developing their range by studying the fundamentals of acting, such as character development, script analysis, and the use of vocal and physical techniques to portray a character. All are welcome, from raw beginners to seasoned veterans.

Frugal Filmmakers can get involved in any aspect of filmmaking, including directing, editing, cinematography, lighting, sound, makeup, storyboarding, music composition and production assistant. There is room for everyone, and no experience is required to join.

SCREENWRITER
The screenwriter crafts a compelling story, develops well-rounded characters, and writes engaging dialogue that will bring the story to life on the screen.
ACTORS & ACTRESSES
The actors and actresses bring characters to life on the big screen, captivating audiences with their performances and contributing to the storytelling process through their interpretation of scripts and portrayal of emotions.
DIRECTOR
Film Director responsibilities include reading and editing scripts, directing film crews and actors, and overseeing the production of the final film. Ultimately, you will work with Actors and other individuals on set to ensure the film matches your creative vision for the final production.
EDITOR
Film editors assemble footage of feature films, television shows, documentaries, and industrials into a seamless end product. They manipulate plot, score, sound, and graphics to refine the overall story into a continuous and enjoyable whole.
CINEMATOGRAPHER
A cinematographer, also known as a Director of Photography, is in charge of the camera and the lighting crew. They’re the person responsible for creating the look, color, lighting, and for framing of every single shot in a film.
LIGHTING
The lighting director is responsible for the look and feel of the images that make up a movie. Lighting directors need to be knowledgeable about a wide range of lighting equipment to achieve the desired mood, atmosphere, and effects required in each scene.
SOUND ENGINEER
The soundtrack engineer is responsible for producing a recording or live performance. The soundtrack engineer balances and adjusts sound using audio effects, mixing, as well as many other sound techniques. The recordings produced can than be used for film and television soundtracks.
MAKEUP ARTIST
Movie Makeup Artist responsibilities include designing each character’s look, applying makeup products on actors’ faces and bodies and using prosthetics to create special makeup effects.
STORYBOARDS
Storyboard artists help the head of story create a visual representation of the animation’s narrative. Storyboard artists translate the script and the director’s vision into pictures. They produce a series of panels of images to plan the shots and ensure continuity between them.
MUSIC COMPOSITION
A film composer creates the musical score that accompanies a film, which is called the film score.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
A Production Assistant’s tasks can and often vary from day to day. Generally, they are responsible for printing and distributing scripts, running errands for Directors and Producers and relaying messages between other members to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
